The Research Foundation Central website has undergone some enhancements and the updated website will be rolled out on August 19th.  This includes new enhanced features on the “PI” landing page. Anything previously bookmarked won’t be affected by these enhancements and new features.

Effort Reporting – The spring certifications will be released shortly. Please keep your eye out for these emails and certify your effort and those on your team as soon as possible. Effort Reporting is a federal requirement for everyone working on federal and state sponsored awards. If you have challenges certifying your effort, please reach out to HR for assistance.
The ORCID ID is an important identifier to enable transparent and trustworthy connections between individuals engaged in research, scholarship, and innovation activities and is tied to an individual researcher's or contributor's name. More than six million ORCID IDs have been established worldwide to connect individuals to their professional information (such as publications, awards, affiliations, etc.) for references and citations. You are encouraged to complete your ORCID profile and connect the resulting ID to your Commons account. Instructions for setting up your ORCID ID or linking it to eRA Commons can be found here.
Foreign Travel – In order to be compliant with federal regulations (i.e. Fly American Act and Export Control), please notify the SPA team before purchasing your tickets and other associated fees (i.e. conference) to travel internationally. There are several restrictions related to the conference you may be attending and/or the data you are traveling with. Please notify us well in advance to ensure we can obtain any appropriate licenses if necessary to comply with Export Control regulations. We also want to assist you in purchasing flight arrangements to ensure they comply with the federal Fly America Act.
